Future Plans for the Blog

Ok I'm currently reading The Lord of the Rings, Uglies, and Wizard and Glass. I'm reading through these slower than I expected. I'll post reviews as soon as possible, but in the mean time I'm going to try and get a few reviews from the perspective of a 6 year old :D!!!

Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins

OK first off I want to apologize for not doing this review sooner. I have been busy with some schoolwork and stuff but now I will hopefully be able to get back to my rhythm of about one review every other day. So anyways, I recently finished Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins. This book is the conclusion to th Hunger Games series. The first one, Hunger Games details the life of Katniss Everdeen and her many friends and enemies in a psychotic form of entertainment, The Hunger Games. These games are an annual fight to the death of 24 children between the age of 11 and 18. By the way it is broad casted on live television. I highly suggest these books as they have an excellent writing style and the themes of death, murder, and love story blend together nicely.

The Bartimaeus Quadrology by Johnathan Stroud

The Bartimaeus Trilogy by Johnathan Stroud is an amazing trilogy featuring a 5,000 year old djinn, a twelve year old child named Nathaniel, and a young girl named Kitty. What's not to love?!? The first book is the adventures of young Nathaniel and his magical servant while he gets his revenge against his enemies and somehow ends up saving the government :-) Book two follows Nathaniel struggling to retain the hero status he gained in book one. The third book is an evil plot planned by all magical creatures which Nathaniel must stop.
The fourth and final book is totally unrelated to the others, as it is back in time several hundred years, BUT I have not yet read it so it may contain spoilers but I do not know. As always, thanks for reading :P

Behemoth out now!!!

I have just discovered that the sequel to Leviathan, Behemoth, has been recently released. I also discovered The first chapter to both are currently online to listen to, although you should obviously listen Leviathan only unless you've already read it because even the first chapter of Behemoth is full of MAJOR spoilers!

The Secrets of The Immortal Nicholas Flamel Series by Michael Scott

Blending an interesting new take on magic and a great new way of describing mythology of all kinds, The Secrets of The Immortal Nicholas Flamel Series by Michael Scott is an excellent read. It is a six book series, although only four of the books are currently released. It follows the prophetical twins of legend who hold enormous power. They are led in their pursuit of magical knowledge by an immortal 600-year old man, named Nicholas Flamel. I wish I could reveal more but literally EVERYTHING is a major plot point, so I highly suggest  getting your paws on a copy of Book One: The Alchemist. Thanks for reading!

Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld

I wanted to tell all of you about a book I recently read called Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld, who is most well-known for writing the Uglies series. Unfortunately I did not read those books later last year. However, this book was so good I plan to read these books as soon as possible. Leviathan is a fast paced steam-punk page turner. (Side note: steam punk is a type of novel that features a blend of aletrnate past and possible futures, such as a futuristic tank powered by steam set in 1850) set in 1914, it follows the story of Aleksandar, the illegitimate prince of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire, and Deryn, a girl soldier serving in the British air-force. They are on opposing side of a war in which the Germans and Austrians represent the Clankers, a force made up of thousands of huge machines, and the Darwinists who blend dozens of species into fabricated beasts of war. So to everyone who may read this post, try our hardest to get your hands on Leviathan!
